The central United States is preparing for record breaking snow as Winter Storm Xanto makes its track eastward. A blizzard warning has been issued across a majority of the central U.S.
The Blizzard is expected to be historic by the time it is all said and done.
Accumulations are in a wide range from 12 to 18 inches across the majority of South Dakota and northern parts of Nebraska and 8 to 12 inches across parts of Minnesota. The models put out up to 36 inches across portions of northern Michigan including Gaylord.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning across central Minnesota, which will likely be upgraded to a Blizzard Warning as Xanto makes its way eastward.
Our prediction is below
A wide swath of 10 to 16 inches is expected for South Dakota and Minnesota while 16 to 24 inches is expected in Northern Michigan.
